Session 4: Medicinal Plants
Medical plays an important role in traditional medicine and ethnomedicine around the world. Due to healthcare formulation, herbal nutritional supplements, and herbal-based cosmetic products, there is currently an increase in demand for medicinal plants products. Medicinal plants are widely used in non-industrial societies because they are easily available and less expensive than modern medicine. Medicinal plants are used to treat illnesses by 80 percent of the world's population, mostly in Africa and developed countries. Around the turn of the century, the entire plant was dried, and alkaloids and glycosides were purified from the plant in the form of enzymes, changing pharmacy's attitude toward medicinal plants.

Session 5: Research on Medicinal Plants
Different methods, such as molecular biological, botanical, and phytochemical techniques, are being used in the recent method of drug formation from medicinal plants. This enables the provision of high-quality treatment for diseases such as AIDS, cancer, malaria, Alzheimer's, and pain. Galantamine, nitisinone, arteether, and tiotropium were recently brought to the US market, or are currently in late-phase clinical trials. These pharmaceutical products are made from edible plant species and can be used as anti-cancer medicines or dietary supplements.

Session 6: Herbal Therapies

Session 7: Holistic Medicine
Percival was the first to propose a holistic approach to patient care in 1803. The use of holistic medicine can help to improve the body's natural healing skills. Its goal is to prevent and treat illnesses while also enhancing people's natural well-being. During diagnosis and treatment, the holistic medicine practitioner would consider the patient's physical, environmental, nutritional, emotional, spiritual, and lifestyle factors. Holistic medicine includes naturopathic medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, homoeopathy, and acupuncture body massage.

Session 8: Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an important part of Traditional Chinese medicine and a type of alternative medicine in which a thin needle is inserted into a particular point with the goal of balancing energies, improving health, and curing disease. In 2003, the World Health Organization (WHO) determined that high and low blood pressure, chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, and certain gastric conditions, such as peptic ulcer, painful periods, dysentery, allergic, rhinitis, facial pain, morning sickness, elbow sciatica, sprains, arthritis, tennis, dental pain, lowering the risk of stroke, and rheumatoid causing labour, can all be successfully treated.

Session 10: Homeopathy medicine
Homeopathy medicine was founded in Germany 200 years ago, based on the theories of "Like cures Like" and "Law of Minimum Dose." Medicine is made up of sugar pills, gels, creams, and tablets made from plants, animals, and minerals. Chronic fatigue syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, irritable bowel syndrome, depression, migraines, premenstrual syndrome, and allergies are all treated with homoeopathic drugs. It's also used to treat toothaches, headaches, nausea, coughs, colds, bruises, and scrapes, among other minor ailments.

Session 14:Arabic and Unani medicine
